MOSCOW — A Ukrainian army airplane carrying aviation college pupils crashed and burst into flames Friday while landing, killing 22 people, the country’s emergency agency said.
Two other folks on board were severely injured and four people were missing. The An-26 crashed while landing in the airport at Chuhuiv, about 400 km (250 miles) east of the capital Kyiv.
Reports stated the airplane had a military team and that the majority of those aboard were pupils in an aviation college conducted from the defense ministry.
There were no immediate signs of what led to the crash.
