The incident happened when an employee was attempting to dismantle a mortar shell, based on Najmul Hassan, a district police officer. The explosion also damaged nearby shops and police had been attempting to ascertain who offered the mortar shell into the iron scrap trader or the way it ended up hitting there, he explained.
Hassan said authorities will start a hunt for almost any other unexploded ordinance in Nowshera, a district at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state bordering Afghanistan.
