NASHVILLE, Tennessee — A trio of fresh hosts will direct lovers via a brand new appearance at this year’s CMT Music Awards, which replaced the live picture viewers with performances in picturesque outdoor places around Nashville, Tennessee.
Country singers Kane Brown and Ashley McBryde unite”Modern Family” celebrity Sarah Hyland because co-hosts through Wednesday night’s series airing on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, Pop and TV Land.
Finalists for the best award, movie of this year, were narrowed down to Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, and Tanya Tucker, Who’s a first-time nominee Too.
The series, which is also famous for highlighting cross-genre collaborations, will include exceptional performances with Jimmie Allen and Noah Cyrus, Combs with Brooks and Dunn, and Ballerini with Halsey. Some first-time nominees this year include Halsey, Blanco Brown, Gwen Stefani, Marshmello along The High women.
The fan-voted awards show that will be normally held in the summer but have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, includes a new group, quarantine movie of this entire year, that highlights nation artists that got creative with music movies and tunes throughout the pandemic. A few of the nominees include Brad Paisley’s”No I Beer,” featuring Paisley surprising individuals on movie calls, Combs’ socially distance-themed tune”Six Feet Anyhow,” and Dolly Parton’s nostalgic”If Life is Great Again.”
Also new this season is the CMT equivalent play award, which is introduced into singer, actor, and activist Jennifer Nettles, because of her work advocating for diversity and women in country songs.
