Florida Gators trainer Dan Mullen said tight end Kyle Pitts was cleared to play in the SEC championship match against Alabama.
In a meeting with SEC Network series”SEC Currently” on Friday night,” Mullen said, “I figure it is still 24 hours away, it is just Friday night. But he has practiced this week. You understand, was cleared to maintain the match “
Pitts didn’t play against LSU Tigers with an undisclosed injury. Mullen said during the week he was optimistic Pitts will be cleared to perform with.
Pitts has been a massive matchup problem this year, with 36 catches for 641 yards and 11 touchdowns as a favorite target of quarterback Kyle Trask. Earlier in the season, Pitts missed two games after having a hit on the head at the Georgia game.
