Lithuanian FM self-isolates Because Following French leader’s Trip

VILNIUS, Lithuania — Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius will spend a week in isolation after being in contact with an infected individual who had been a part of the French delegation during last week’s visit by French President Emmanuel Macron, an official said Monday.

The French Embassy told that the region’s most important news agency both staff members of the French Embassy from the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius had tested positive for coronavirus plus they had been a part of Macron’s delegation.

The men are self-isolating along with the French Embassy was closed for many days, BNS said. There was no immediate response from the French mission in Vilnius.

According to BNS, the delegation out of Paris had been pre-tested and the results had been negative before the trip.

Macron is seen Lithuania on Sept. 28-29.
