Missouri-LSU Match on Saturday switching Nations Due to Hurricane Delta, sources say

The Missouri- LSU Soccer Match scheduled for Saturday at Baton Rouge, Louisiana, will Proceed to Columbia, Missouri, Due to Hurricane Delta bearing down on the Country of Louisiana, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Kickoff for the match was initially scheduled for 9 p.m. ET, but it’s been transferred to noon ET in Missouri’s Faurot Field, sources told ESPN.

SEC associate commissioner Herb Vincent said in a statement that the last decision on the condition of the match was expected to be announced Wednesday morning. LSU athletic officials said Tuesday that they had been closely tracking Hurricane Delta and were in communicating with the SEC and Missouri officials”on contingency plans if they become mandatory.”

The Baton Rouge Advocate first reported Tuesday that the match was anticipated to be hauled from Tiger Stadium into Faurot Field.

In 2016, the Florida-LSU game scheduled to be played in Gainesville, Florida, was transferred to Baton Rouge a month after due to Hurricane Matthew.
