NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A new museum in Tennessee that concentrates on African American songs will start next month in Nashville.

Members of this museum will have the ability to take tours on Jan. 23-24 and the center will open to the general public on Jan. 30.

Museum President and CEO H. Beecher Hicks III said officials anticipate welcoming music fans and observing the history of African American music.

“We’ve been preparing for this day for over 20 decades, yet this museum has been over 400 years in the making.” He explained.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ministry stated, it would restrict the number of individuals within the memorial and all traffic would be asked to wear masks.
