LOS ANGELES — Oprah Winfrey is going to have a comprehensive discussion with famed author Isabel Wilkerson as part of the following installment of her”Oprah’s Book Club.”
The in-depth discussion will investigate the context of this novel that delves into Wilkerson’s exploration of race and hierarchy in the U.S.
From the event, Winfrey will even ask the reason for composing”Caste” for Wilkerson, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her novel”The Warmth of additional Suns.”
In August, Winfrey chose Wilkerson’s”Caste” for the book club.
Winfrey will dig deeper to talk about topics of this publication in a two-part event on Apple TV+ on Oct. 9.
“Caste” proceeds Winfrey’s book club venture with Apple that started last fall. It features previous selections like Ta-Nehisi Coates’ book”The Water Dancer” and the nonfiction”Hidden Valley Road,” by Robert Kolker.
