PASADENA, Calif. — There will not be tens of thousands of folks viewing flower-laden floats roll through the streets of Pasadena on New Year’s Day, but the series will proceed.
Sheryl Crow directs a very long list of actors and celebrity guests that will appear at a Jan. 1 tv special substituting the 132nd Rose Parade, which has been canceled on account of this coronavirus pandemic.
Performers may even comprise Mickey Guyton, Tori Kelly, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, and husband-and-wife duo The War and Treaty.
The Tournament of Roses Association states”The Rose Parade’s New Year Celebration introduced by Honda” will broadcast on ABC, NBC, Hallmark Channel, Univision, RFD-TV, and KTLA-Los Angeles. The organizer’s state performances were filmed at locations across the nation to restrict travel and ensure security.
The special will also include marching bands, equestrians, floats from preceding years, and sections on the Rose Bowl football game that typically follows the parade.
The cancellation of this 2021 Rose Parade was declared earlier this season. That’d just occurred three times before, during the World War II years of 1942, 1943, and 1945.
