LONDON — Princess Beatrice got married at a private ceremony Friday, together with her grandma, Queen Elizabeth II, in presence, Buckingham Palace said Friday.
Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in The Royal Chapel of All Saints in Royal Lodge, Windsor.
Guidelines set up to block the spread of COVID-19 have been followed closely, the palace said.
The service was postponed due to the pandemic.
Friday’s ceremony hadn’t been declared and pictures of the service weren’t immediately released.
The households of these newlyweds have known one another for several decades. The pair are believed to have begun a relationship after meeting again in the marriage of Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie.
Andrew and Sarah, who stay on quite good terms despite their 1996 divorce, stated in the time of Beatrice’s involvement they were”thrilled” with the information.
Their younger daughter, Eugenie, wed Jack Brooksbank in 2018.
