Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin Tests Positive over Coronavirus

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin says he’s tested positive for the brand new coronavirus, and it has informed President Vladimir Putin he will self-isolate.

First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov will briefly execute Mishustin’s responsibilities, however, the prime minister said Thursday that he’d remain in touch on crucial problems.

During a video call, Putin expressed hope that Mishustin will keep on participating in drafting policies to shore up the Russian market, which was hurt by the virus intrusion. In Russia, the prime ministry manages the market and replies to this president.

It wasn’t immediately clear when Putin last fulfilled with Mishustin in person. The Russian president has reduced meetings and changed on holding video conferences with officials throughout the pandemic.
