Padres ace Mike Clevinger is away from the group’s NLDS roster due to harm, a move that means he’s ineligible to share in the NLCS should San Diego progress.
Major League Baseball approved the roster movement Wednesday.
According to its launch, Dr. Gary Green, the team’s medical manager, affirmed that Clevinger is coping with an accident”after communication with the assessing physician, in addition to reviewing Clevinger’s history”
Clevinger drove just 24 pitches in Game 1 against the Dodgers and stated after the match he felt discomfort in his elbow. The Padres dropped 5-1.
Clevinger is going to be substituted with right-handed pitcher Dan Altavilla on San Diego’s 28-man NLDS roster.
