Toobin suspended by the New Yorker, steps away from CNN

NEW YORK — Author-commentator Jeffrey Toobin was suspended by the New Yorker and is stepping off from his occupation because CNN’s senior legal adviser dispersing exactly what the cable community is currently calling a”personal thing “

Vice reported earlier Monday that Toobin had subjected himself through a Zoom assembly with staffers of the New Yorker and WNYC radio. In a statement Monday afternoon, the New Yorker stated Toobin was”suspended while we investigate the issue.” A CNN spokesperson said in a statement that”Jeff Toobin has asked for some time while he copes with a private issue, which we’ve granted.”

The 60-year-old Toobin was a New Yorker writer for at least 20 decades and joined CNN in 2002. He’s the author of many novels, most recently”True Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Analysis of Donald Trump,” printed in August. His other works include”The Run of His Life: The People v. O. J. Simpson” and”The Six: In the Secret World of the Supreme Court.”
