Transgender woman beaten, stabbed Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A transgender woman was hospitalized Thursday after authorities said she had been stabbed and brutally defeated in the most recent case involving a part of the U.S. land’s LGBTQ community.

Authorities issued an announcement stating Nicole López, 33, told police the incident happened after she got in an argument with different folks in her house soon after midnight. No additional details were provided.

López’s buddies told WAPA TV her skull is fractured and she will need reconstructive surgery.

The incident comes a week after having a transgender girl who was fatally shot in southwest Puerto Rico.

A total of such killings are reported to the island this season, such as two transgender women who were located at a charred car in April.
