UK Government Will Look at Leicester Lockdown on Thursday, States Health Minister

British Health Minister Matt Hancock stated on Tuesday the government would evaluate if lockdown steps in the English town of Leicester might be eased on Thursday but cautioned that the number of coronavirus instances was still large.

“I put out that there’s the procedure for if adjustments can be produced in Leicester. The method is that we’ll look at 14 days of information… on Thursday of the week and make a public statement as soon as is reasonably possible regarding if and when any changes could be made to this circumstance,”

Hancock told parliament adding the number of positive instances was still well over the remainder of the nation.
