Van repeatedly rams police car in Amsterdam, driver Detained

AMSTERDAM — A driver rammed a van right into a police vehicle early Friday afternoon in downtown Amsterdam and subsequently drove into two police bikes which were parked to make a roadblock, authorities in the Dutch funds reported Twitter.

Two officers and the defendant were getting medical treatment after the incident, which occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. (0230 GMT), police spokesman Jelmer Geerds explained. He didn’t have details about their harms.

There was no immediate word on a potential motive. Authorities were investigating in the scene,” Geerds explained.
